Spinal injuries can restrict range of motion, reduce strength, slow reflexes, shorten endurance, and decrease performance. Chiropractic care for these types of injuries has become increasingly popular. Muscles, tendons, and ligaments depend on proper joint movement and nerve supply for peak performance. Injuries to these tissues can reduce range of motion, affect delicate nerves, and decrease blood supply. Normalizing spinal function helps speed up the healing of these soft tissues and reduce the deconditioning effect of being on the sidelines.

Kinesio Tape

ART is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with ART. These conditions all have one important thing in common: they are often a result of overused muscles.

Over-used or damaged muscles can cause your body to produce tough, dense scar tissue in the affected area. This scar tissue binds up and ties down tissues that need to move freely. As scar tissue builds up, muscles become shorter and weaker, tension on tendons causes tendonitis, and nerves can become trapped. This can cause reduced range of motion, loss of strength, and pain. If a nerve is trapped in this scar bundle you may also feel tingling, numbness, and weakness. ART treats and rehabilitates these dysfunctional areas.

Kinesio tape is a powerful taping method that helps stabilize joints and assist weak muscles. It can be applied to any area of the body and replaces traditional athletic tape. It allows the user nearly free range of motion and provides lift and support where most needed. This amazing tape is water resistant it is durable enough to stay on the skin for 3 to 5 days. We currently use Rock Tape brand tape due to its strong affiliation within the CrossFit health and fitness paradigm.

ART Active Release Technique

Damaged joints in the extremities such as the shoulders, knees, and wrists must be returned to their proper function for healing to take place. Abnormal joint function in the extremities result in over-worked muscles, abnormal patellar tracking, carpal tunnel syndrome, and much more.
